During this season of fasting and prayer. I am excited to share the breakthrough that came along during my quiet time with the lord. There are several areas in our life we want to see God's move in our vulnerability. The Holy Spirit started tugging my heart, and I felt the intense move of God that my ways were contrary to the bible.
I heard the Lord say Self Denial being directed to the verse Mathew 16:24 & 26 Then Jesus told his disciples, If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. Tears were rushing down my face because God knew where my heart was. A decade long was this struggle of looking to your past and being insatiable, days of grumbling and never fully understanding the profundity of his greatness and love towards his benevolence.
This was persuasion for me and has vehemently changed my outlook to looking on to a matter with Gods perspective makes your cross lighter not burdensome and his commandments confirms his promise to us.

1 John 5: 2 & 4 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome. For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world- our faith. We don't have to carry our cross and make it more burdensome, but we believe the lord is our portion and strength. His grace is sufficient to embrace the cross cheerfully. We live in a world of selfie, whereas God is asking us to deny ourselves and to be transformed in his likeness.
The song "My heart is yours by Christian Stanfill" describes
And take up my cross, Jesus,
For You are my God, whatever the cost Jesus,
For you, Jesus
My heart is yours.
